Meet the Trainers

Rachael Babcock

Hi! I'm Rachael, a certified personal trainer and owner of Evolve Personal Performance. My journey in the realm of personal training began with a certification from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) from 2017 through 2020. I took a break to start a family and then certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) in early 2024. And Evolve Personal Performance came to life shortly after! My primary goal is to create a welcoming and supportive space where everyone feels empowered, safe and confident in their fitness and wellness journey.

Formerly active in high school sports, I delved into long distance running and completed a marathon and several half marathons in my early 20s. I transitioned to weightlifting in 2016 due to knee issues related to arthritis that made running difficult. My new found love of weightlifting and transforming my health and body, led to a few bodybuilding competitions where I competed in both figure and physique. 

My battle with ongoing severe knee arthritis has brought a unique understanding of physical limitations and the vital role of weight training in overcoming challenges. I also faced several pregnancy complications, but guided by my OBGYN, I returned to the weight room, affirming the transformative power of exercise during pivotal life stages. Amid post-partum struggles, I realized the significance of exercise for mental well-being as well. Fitness became crucial for my overall health and aiding in recovery from post-partum depression and anxiety.

When I'm not coaching, you'll often find me enjoying moments outdoors with my two little adventurers, aged 3 and 5, and my supportive husband. Whether we're exploring scenic trails, enjoying playgrounds at local parks, or simply playing in our backyard, these moments outdoors are truly cherished. Beyond our outdoor adventures, a considerable part of my time is devoted to supporting my little ones in their exciting endeavors in gymnastics and various sporting activities. Witnessing their determination, enthusiasm, and growth in these activities fills me with immense pride and joy.

One of my greatest aspirations is to instill in my little ones the profound significance of physical and mental health, movement, and strength. As a parent and a dedicated fitness enthusiast, I strive to be a role model for my kids, demonstrating the incredible benefits that an active and healthy lifestyle can offer.

Hi! I’m Liz! 😊

Credentials: ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Registered Nurse, Lifestyle Coach, Bodybuilding Coach, IFBB League Professional Competitive Bodybuilder

Passion: I love motivating & supporting others as they get healthy & fit, grow in confidence, realize their potential, AND have fun along the way. When we feel strong & confident that naturally spills over into other areas of our lives! I am always so excited to celebrate all types of client wins!

Training: I specialize in strength training, but also work extensively with some clients on balance and flexibility, and/or endurance training. Sessions & training programs are designed to fit YOUR individual needs & goals! I also believe it’s got to be enjoyable for you to stick with it!

Nutrition: Is HUGE when it comes to optimizing results! I have formal education in nutrition & offer guidance & education to help clients meet their goals. Customized nutrition plans are available as well. For most clients, I find that a flexible approach incorporating favorite foods is most sustainable.

Holistic Wellness: There is so much more to each of us than what meets the eye! To achieve long term health, we must acknowledge that we are multi-dimensional beings & our overall health is the culmination of many factors. I take a comprehensive approach with my clients, recognizing how training, diet & nutrition habits, sleep, stress management, & mindset/mental health, all play into their well-being. Optimizing each of those helps us THRIVE!

Fitness History: I have been active my whole life. I found weightlifting to be the best approach for making me stronger, shaping my body, maintaining a healthy weight, & boosting my confidence. Now days you’ll find me pursuing my passion for bodybuilding. Fun fact: it was my sister Rachael (owner of Evolve Personal Performance) who got me into lifting & bodybuilding! I began competitive bodybuilding 6 years ago, at age 43, & recently advanced into the IFBB professional league!

Personal Life: I have 5 kids, ranging in age from 20 to 30 years old, & 2 adorable grandsons. I love my fur babies (1 dog, 3 cats) and spending time outdoors, whether playing or just relaxing – especially anywhere a beach is involved! ☀️🏖️🌊
